The comparison has a modest verdict. An indica label signals the effect a producer or seller intends to communicate, so it may be more likely to be presented as sleepy. It remains a weak predictor for an individual dose.

2. Build the effect timeline

Record consumption time, first noticeable effect, strongest effect and return to ordinary functioning. Keep sleepiness and impairment as separate entries. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says cannabis can slow reaction time and decision-making and impair coordination. Feeling awake is therefore insufficient evidence that driving or safety-sensitive work is unimpaired.

3. Set the sleep baseline

Record the previous night’s sleep and the median from the prior seven nights. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research Society recommend at least seven hours a night on a regular basis for healthy adults. That population benchmark cannot diagnose sleep debt.
